WOW! I stumbled upon this in my local gas station/mini mart/liquor store and boy was I surprised. Dollars per ounce of delicious bourbon, this has to be the winner. I have yet to come across a bourbon that packs this much fun in discovery for a better price point. My spot sells it out the door for just a tad over $50 and I am happy to pay that price. When it is in stock I buy it all. Also, this is my go to gift for bourbon drinkers. Most people pass on by it for something more “special”. This has become one of the favorites of my friends and the one individual that I gifted a bottle to, it has become their number one favorite whiskey. If you haven’t had it yet, I would suggest you do so if you can find it as it seems that is becoming more popular (see search history info below).

First released in 1991 and since then only 10 so far have been released. This has nicknamed it the “Rare Bird”. The mash bill is 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley. It is a blend of six, eight, and twelve-year old bourbons. The label lets you know it is bottled at cask strength! I have yet to use this for cocktails but I could see the high proof really improve your cocktail. Wild Turkey Rare Breed has won awards in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, & 2016. Rare Breed is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey with No Age Statement (NAS).
